The fair is already in motion
The Klamath County Fair is not something Klamath Falls slowly notices. By the time the carnival lights come on, traffic is already moving toward South 6th Street, families are checking schedules, and the fairgrounds become one of the busiest places in town.
For 2026, the official fair site lists the run from Thursday, July 30 through Sunday, August 2 at the Klamath County Fairgrounds, 3531 South 6th Street. That puts today, Saturday, August 1, on day three of the fair with Sunday left as the final day.
- Dates: July 30 through August 2, 2026
- Location: 3531 South 6th Street, Klamath Falls
- Today is day three of the fair
- Sunday, August 2 is the final day
Thursday and Friday set the pace
Thursday started the fair weekend with the carnival opening at 4 PM and Trace Adkins scheduled for the John Hancock Arena that evening. The official schedule listed doors at 6:30 PM and the event start at 7:30 PM.
Friday kept the arena schedule moving with the Challenge of Champions Tour, also listed for the John Hancock Arena with doors at 6:30 PM and a 7:30 PM start. Between the arena events, food court, carnival, vendors, 4-H and FFA animals, and indoor entertainment, the first two days gave visitors plenty to move between.
- Thursday: carnival opening and Trace Adkins
- Friday: Challenge of Champions Tour
- Arena events were listed at John Hancock Arena
- Food, vendors, animals, exhibits, and indoor entertainment ran alongside the main events
Saturday is demolition derby day
Saturday's main attraction is Crash 4 Cash Demolition Derby. The fair site lists it for Saturday, August 1, with doors opening at 5 PM and the event starting at 6 PM in the John Hancock Arena.
That makes Saturday one of the bigger traffic days of the weekend. If you are heading out with kids, it is worth planning the basics before you get there: parking, tickets, water, sun protection, and a meeting spot if your group gets separated.
- Crash 4 Cash Demolition Derby: Saturday, August 1
- Doors listed at 5 PM
- Event start listed at 6 PM
- Plan extra time around parking and lines
Carnival rides, games, and food
The fair's carnival page says World Amusements is providing the carnival rides, games, and food. It also notes that carnival hours vary by day, so the official schedule is still the best place to check before heading over.
The Ride Riot Pass is listed as the four-day unlimited ride option for July 30 through August 2. For families trying to get the most out of the carnival side of the fair, that is one of the main ticket details to compare before buying one day at a time.
- Carnival by World Amusements
- Carnival hours vary by day
- Ride Riot Pass covers July 30 through August 2
- Check the official schedule before you go
Practical notes for families
The official carnival page includes practical advice that is easy to overlook until you need it. Closed-toe shoes and well-fitted clothing are recommended for rides. Hats, sunscreen, and water matter too, especially during a long afternoon on the fairgrounds.
The page also lists ride restrictions and safety rules: no smoking, vaping, food, or beverages on rides, and people with casts, injuries, or who are pregnant are not permitted to ride. None of that is complicated, but knowing it ahead of time can save a family from a frustrating surprise at the ride line.
- Wear closed-toe shoes
- Bring sunscreen, hats, and water
- Pick a meeting spot before splitting up
- Review ride restrictions before buying wristbands
Sunday is the last chance for 2026
Sunday, August 2 is the final day of the 2026 Klamath County Fair. If you have not made it out yet, that is the last window for the carnival, food court, vendors, exhibits, fair attractions, and family activities before the fair closes out for the year.
As always with event weekends, check the official fair site before leaving. Schedules, ticket details, access notes, and carnival hours can matter more than people expect once everyone is already loaded in the car.
